This exhibition introduces the artist's Still Life and Grid Series, as well as her Zero(O) Series, which served as the starting point for her ongoing body of work. The artist explores the void, or “0,” as the plane where one encounters being. This process of discovery leads perpetually towards the beyond, in search of a portrait of being. The form of being, which begins with the trace of "no-thing-ness," anticipates movement in the future. Kim Debbie's work invites us to what has been considered to be the most important in her work: the assertion of being and the purpose of painting.
